The New York example assumes four first attempts. It excludes preparation, retakes, and later licensure costs; other jurisdictions have different charges.

Section outcomes

AICPA publishes section-level pass rates, not one aggregate rate for completing all four sections. Do not average the section rates to estimate a candidate's probability of completing the exam.

Take AUD, FAR, and REG, then one Discipline. Each rate describes a separate assessment.
